The name for the ministry of Acts 29 Missions came in the summer of 2000 as Don Adamson was preparing for his first move to Haiti. After Don left the life of pornography and drugs, God began doing mighty things in his life as he travelled around the world on missions work. It was during this time that God spoke to him about the importance of continuing the work of the early church that is outlined in the Book of Acts. While the final chapter in the Book of Acts is Chapter 28, God showed Don that we are the Acts 29 generation. With that direction from God, Don enthusiastically started Acts 29 Missions with the sole purpose to see the same power Don had experienced in the revivals of the 1990's happening in the church in other nations, especially Haiti.
After four hurricanes struck the nation of Haiti in one year, Don and his team were lead to the Casale River Valley where there was no active missions work and where people were in desperate need of everything. From the start of doing Kids Clubs in villages to now having a school that is second to none in Haiti, his passion has always been to raise up the next generation of believers.
Don has a staff in Haiti that has proven themselves to be nation-changers. But none of the past, present or future ministry of Acts 29 Missions can happen without those who come alongside the ministry. Getting involved with Acts 29 Missions means that in one way or another you'll be instrumental in bringing the gospel to those who have never heard it and changing lives of some of the most impoverished people on earth. Whether you decide to support us financially or join one of our missions trips, you'll be taking powerful steps to bring aid and the good news of Jesus to those who desperately need to hear it.
